How do I get added/invited to another user's homepage?

My boss has tried to add me as a user on their google nest app and it will not allow them to send an invite. How can I be added to their google nest wifi app?

What happens when your boss tries to invite you? Are there any error codes or messages? Do you have a Google account associated with the email address your boss is trying to invite?
