How do you finish the setup with the app? I get to a blank page with next at the bottom and it stops

I installed a nest thermostat. Followed the setup instructions on the app. It gets to a page that says "On the next page you will enter your address" and when I hit next I just get a blank page with "next" at the bottom and nothing else. You can't type anything and hitting next doesn't do anything. When you just end the program it says setup was not finished and you have to remove the device and start all over again. It doesn't matter how many times I do it, it stops right there every time.

I'm sorry that the app is giving you some trouble, I know it's been a bit finicky as of late. I'd be happy to help you figure out the problem and get that Nest Thermostat set up, I'll just need to ask you some questions to I know what's happening:

 

Are you trying to set up the Thermostat on the Nest app or Google home app?

What model of Nest Thermostat do you have?

Is your Android device and application up-to-date?

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this issue happens?

 

For now, I would double-check the application and phone is up-to-date, swap between networks if you are able to, then consider re-installing the app if the issue persists. I look forward to your response, so I can give more specific steps!

I am having the same exact problem today Jan. 6, 2022.

I am setting up through the Google Home app.

The basic Nest Thermostat, not the Learning

My android device is currently up to date.

I am connected to Wi-Fi when this is happening.

I also tried it through cellular with the same adverse result.

I would greatly appreciate any other suggestions you may send me.

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with the app. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?
