Hue bulb removed but still displayed in Google home

Hi

i have recently replaced a hue bulb. In the hue app, I removed the old one and added the new one. I added it to my room and this works fine there

I have synced that again with my Google home, and I can see the new bulb in my room, but the old bulb is displayed as offline, in no room.

when I say the switch on room command, it switches on the lights properly, but it says “looks like the bulb {oldbulbname} is not off”

That bulb is no longer lined to that room in hue or Google home, so i don’t know what can I do to remove it completely from Google home, to avoid having that error message

Has Somebody experienced a similar issue? How could I fix it?

thanks

Hey Javixeneize,

Thanks for reaching out. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues removing an old device on the Google Home app. To confirm, are you able to tap the device? If yes, press the gear icon on the upper right corner then tap remove. If not, please try to unlink and re-link your Philips Hue account from the Google Home app, and check if you'll still have the same issue.

Let me know if that works.

Cheers,

Muddi

I don’t have a remove button. I can tap it, but I can just unpair all the hue devices, not only this single bulb

Hey Javixeneize,

Got it! If you unlink your Philips Hue account from the Google Home app, it will unlink all other bulbs. This is the best way for us to refresh the connection between the apps. Let's give it a try!
