In the Google home app fo my tv under linked accounts my brothers email is there and mine. I can’t do anything with the device as it is. The situation is my brother died last year and I don’t know how to take control of a couple devices we both are linked too. Any advice would help, thanks

I have found out that if you added someone in Nest as a family member and after the migration they are the primary of that device. There’s nothing I can do but factory reset the device. If you have this issue then have the other person unlink the device and you can take control. You could in theory unlink and let them add you back as primary. They killed off access to changing that

Hello Yg,

Thanks for reaching out. I just wanted to check in, were you able to resolve your question by doing a Factory Data Reset to the devices? Please let me know, I'd be more than happy to help.

It worked and they need to let us change WiFi in settings like the nest app is why I had to reset everything. Just easier if the app is on par with nest app
