I just got the nest doorbell. I’m able to use it using the Nest app. However, I am having trouble linking it to my Google Home. When I try to add nest to the home app, it requires me to sign into nest which I can’t because I use my Google creditials
If you added your doorbell to the Google Nest app, then you must have the Google Nest Hello Doorbell, as we do. You do NOT "add" or "link" the Google Nest Hello Doorbell to the Google Home app . (I'm guessing you tried to use the "Works with Google" option.) If you are logging onto the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google (gmail) account and you are accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in both apps (the nickname you picked for your "home/structure" displays near the top of the initial screen in each app), then your Google Nest Hello Doorbell AUTOMATICALLY appears in the Google Home app. That's how it's worked for us, and we have 3 of them. (I saw a post from one customer whose doorbell did not appear in the Google Home app until they first put the doorbell in a "room" in the Google Nest app.)
Unfortunately, notifications for our older cameras and doorbells go through the Google Nest app, while notifications for our newer cameras and doorbells go through the Google Home app.
