Migrating Nest to google home get authorization failed error 403 disallowed_useragent

Hi

Have Nest on my android which works fine and I can access Nest via my google account. But when adding a new Nest CAM via Nest it stated I need Google Home to now set up the device. Downloaded Google home version version 2,57.1.8 along with Nest version 5.69.0.5.

On selecting to migrate Nest Via  Google Home the following happened  "Authorization failed error 403 disallowed_useragent"

Other instructions state that you can migrate to Home Via Nest under setting, tap Migrate to a Google Account, but noting there in version 5.69.05.

Tried to set up a new Home under Google Home after selecting the Nest Cam via OPC code it asks again if I want to migrate my Nest Account. Here it asked me to login to next , but using google account does not work and  have tried to use my old user login and password from when NEST 1st setup but just says they are incorrect

So now have a Nest Cam that I cannot connect either to Nest its self or to Google Home.

How can I resolve this issue ?

Thanks Nick

Mobile  is Samsung S21+ using Android Version 12

Hi NAP,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you started using the Nest app before August 19, 2019, you created a Nest Account to manage your Nest products. You now have the option to migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account, creating one unified Google Account that you can use to manage products and homes in both the Nest and Google Home apps.

How to migrate

You can only link one Google Account to one Nest Account.

  1. On your mobile device, download the latest version of the Nest app from Google Play.
  2. Check that you have an eligible Google Account.
    1. If you don’t have one, you will need to create a new Google Account.
  3. Open the Nest app Nest app and, if asked, sign in.
  4. Tap Settings Nest settings icon Account verify that you’re signed in with the account you want to migrate.
    1. To migrate a different Nest Account, tap Sign out at the bottom of the screen sign in with the account you want to migrate.
  5. Tap Migrate to a Google Account.
  6. Follow the in-app instructions.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess
