Missing location trigger for routines

Raduneda

Hi,

If I try to create a new routine based on my phone's location there is no option to do so.

I only have the starters "at specific time", "at sunrise/sunset" and "when alarm îs dismissed".

I would like for my nest mini to tell me useful data when I areive home for example.

Hey Raduneda,

Thanks for reaching out.

While you can use the ready-made and custom routines, using your phone's location as a trigger isn't available. Check this article for more information. Let us know if you have other questions.

Alex

Hey Raduneda,

We're sorry for the confusion. Home & Away Routines can use presence sensing to determine when to start. You can choose which devices, if any, will help determine if someone is home or everyone’s away.

To set up presence-based routines, ask the customer to do the following:

  1. Open the Google Home app then tap Routines.
  2. Select the routines for how devices and settings will adjust:
    • When the first person comes home
    • When everyone’s away
  3. (Optional) Select the devices the customer wants to use to determine if someone’s home.
  4. (Optional) Set up the mobile phone’s location to be used for presence sensing. Enter the home address and put the pin on the map to confirm.

Keep us posted.

Regards,

Alex

Thank you for the quick answer again. I have managed to set them up, somehow the menu to set these routines was not appearing on my device.
