Missing presence sensing parameter

Hi,

My Home app doesn't show the presence sensing parameter. I don't see any information related to missing setting in the current doc.

My current setup is:

  • Google home
  • Google home mini
  • Chromecast
  • Samsung Smart things paired

Also please note that I am using a Google Workspace free legacy account, but my wife has the same issue with her regular google account.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Yes we do need help, the issue is still occuring. I went through the all documentation about presence sensing and much more without success. It's either a bug or an undocumented restriction.

It sounds crazy but the "presence sensing" item in my Home app settings just appeared today. Without updating the app. I believe Google is working on the backend. I changed nothing since the last time I checked.

Unfortunately I now facing a new problem but it's much more clear. When I click on the presence sensing setting, then I need to agree to the supplemental Nest terms and I am rejected with a pretty clear error: "Sorry, Gsuite account can't be used for migration"

Hi Nge,

 

Sorry for the late response. Do you have other accounts that you can use? We recommend using regular account instead of Gsuite as it may or may not work due to limitations and account restrictions.

Try to switch your android in US English and wait for a week, it's the last thing I remember changing. I not sure it it really helped since the presence sensing option suddenly appeared today.
