I have the Nest Wired Doorbell and in switching other products to the Google Home app it got disconnected from our account. I can no longer get it connected to our Nest account. I have tried to factory reset, I brought another Nest product close to it and have tried chat, but the wait times are outrageous. This is really disappointing and leads me to want to purchase a doorbell from another company.

What exactly happens when you try to add your Google Nest Hello Doorbell back to the Google Nest app?

hi - it goes through the whole process until it says connecting to nest network and then comes up with the error. we have a thermostat close as well as a router so i know that’s not the problem.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. A few questions: what's the status light of your Nest Hello? Try these steps and let us know once you're done.

 

  1. Close the app.
  2. Use the instructions in this article to restart your camera.
  3. Make sure your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on, and that it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want to use for your camera.
  4. Try to set up your camera again in the app.
  5. If the help code still appears, and you’re using the app on a phone, reboot your device and check if that fixes the issue.
