Every time I try to migrate my Nest account all I get is "Something went wrong". How can someone diagnose a problem with such a vague message?
IMHO something went wrong when the person wrote this alert. What now?

"Something went wrong" is probably just the default error message for errors that Google Nest either failed to detect or didn't allow for.
We migrated a couple of years ago and did not have issues, but this forum has reports from lots of customers who did have issues. Here is Google Nest Help's page covering migration; maybe it will help:
