Updated my iPad to iOS15 yesterday afternoon. Since then, I have been unable to connect to the Nest or the Google Home apps. Uninstalled and reinstalled both apps from the App Store, restarted the iPad and still nothing. The Nest app opens and then just spins attempting to open and the Google Home app opens and then crashes. Internet is connected with no other issues. Any ideas?

It's a iOS issue with network connections, you need to open up permissions for the apps so that they can communicate properly . Go to settings, privacy, local network and ensure that Google home is open

Thank you! Permissions are set now on both apps and I am still having issues connecting or the app (Google Home and Nest) just crash.

Know it's annoying but can you force close the app and reboot once more then try again?

Not annoying! I did that, as well as remove and reinstall both apps, and now neither are showing in my local network in privacy settings.
My iPhone is still running iOS14 and is having no issues. Just the iPad having issues. Thank you!

Very odd..one last thing to try, can you disable iCloud relay ? This usually causes issues with setting up nest wifi systems but could also be an issue here. If this doesn't work I'll escalate to the Google team for more input.

The Nest app is now showing in my Local Network, however still isn’t working. iCloud relay was already disabled.
The app will sporadically connect. However 9 out of 10 times, the app tries to open and then crashes.

Unfortunately still having issues. Haven’t been able to open either app (Nest or Google Home) since Monday. Apps have been forced quit + reinstalled multiple times and no resolution.

I look forward to hearing from you.
