Nest app - "there is a problem connecting to the Nest service."

A week or so ago I lost Nest camera image - "camera is offline" message.   I confirmed it is not a power issue so must be a connection issue.   As of yesterday now cannot log into Nest app so cannot access camera or thermostats.  I have upgraded iPhone 11 pro IOS to latest update.  Rebooted wifi modem and router.   Deleted and reinstalled Nest app.   No success.  My wifes phone still works and she can see thermostats but she also gets the "camera is offline" message.

Help?

Hey folks,

mlverm, thanks for keeping us in the loop and for sharing what you've done to have your concern resolved.

@Barb4, could you ensure that VPN is also turned off on your mobile device is you have one? Let me know if the issue persists.

Best,

Melba

I figured out it was the VPN trying to "connect on demand"  causing the problem.  I turned off VPN connect on demand and it all started working again.

Hey Barb4,

Checking back in — how's your Nest app now? Have you managed to sign in?
