Netflix account is not linked please relink

I'm using Google home with a chromecast to stream Netflix shows for my blind mother who of course can really only use her voice to control it.  It will work for about an hour then state that Netflix is not linked at that I should relink the account using the Home app, but of course when I check the Home app the Netlix account is listed as linked.  This happens constantly and sometimes will correct itself or a reboot of the chromecast may help.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there TinBasher77, 

I'm so sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with your Netflix account unlinking from your Chromecast, I can understand the frustrations but I'm happy to help. 

 

I was able to find some steps that worked for other users. 

  • drag down the top bar

  • open settings (cog icon in top right)

  • open device maintenance

  • click battery in the bottom left

  • scroll all the way to the bottom to where it says "unmonitored apps".

  • click that text. Even though it's not clear at all it's clickable

  • click the button "add apps"

  • select Netflix and click done.
