Poor search results when using Google home or Nest display

The search results when using Google Home, Assistant or Nest have been VERY poor lately. I am getting a lot of "I don't have an answer for that" or "I don't understand" ... when the questions being asked are very basic and readily available online when doing a manual search. Ice checked all of my settings etc and everything is turned on to work as effective as possible, yet, when asking simple questions, I am not getting answers.

Hi RominaY,

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should.A few questions: what Nest speaker or display are we working with? When did it begin? Are you getting the same answer when you use your phone’s Google Assistant? Please check your Google Assistant activity history and see if your Google Assistant heard your command correctly. See the steps below on how to view it:

  1. Open the Google Home app Tap Settings
  2. Under Home features, tap Privacy.
  3. Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the down arrow icon and then choose another account or Add another account .
  4. Select Home activity.
Note: This opens a list of all recent voice commands the customer has given.
  5. Identify the most recent command that generated a failed response.

Regards,

Juni
