Problems with Nest Migration because of Shared Account with my Husband

AspenQn

My husband migrated the Nest account today to his Google and I received an invitation to join.  However I cannot.  I tried going to Nest and signing in using his email address and get a notification to enter a security code.  He doesn't get a pull down notification that is supposed to appear on his phone so therefore I can do nothing.

Can someone please give me step by step instructions so that we can continue to share a single Nest log in?

@AspenQn

You have to have a Google (gmail) account and have the Google Home app installed in order to be added to someone's Google Nest household.  (That second requirement isn't documented, but another customer just reported that today.) Once you receive an invite, you should then be able to sign onto both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app and home.nest.com with your Google (gmail) account and access your husband's Google Nest "home/structure".

In the Google Home app, does your husband see you as a member under Settings | Household?
