My Sony Android TV 55 X9000F is listed under "Local devices" in the Google Home app but I can't seem to be able to add it to home and set up the device.
I've tried the following to fix this:
It seems like the Google Home app can see the TV, but can't properly connect to it for full functionality.
Expected behavior: I should be able to fully control my Android TV through the Google Home app, including powering it on/off, changing channels, and using other features as well as triggering voice activated commands such as “OK Google…turn on TV”
Current behavior: The TV is stuck in "Local devices" with limited functionality and not recognized by any of my Google Home devices
I have filled out the form suggested in other forums with all the needed information.
Please help me resolve this issue so I can use the Google Home to control my TV.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for following up. After a handful of factory resets and toggling between 2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz, I was able to access the settings button and add the device to my Google home.
Really appreciate your help!

Hi andyv1,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry that you're having trouble setting up your Sony Android TV on the Google Home app. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.
Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:
For your concern, please try the below steps:
You need to search for your device in Matter devices because if you search for it in Google Nest or Works with Google, you won't be able to find it. Chromecast and Google TV are only for devices with the Google TV system.
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.
Regards,
Kevin
