Thermometers do not display temperature in automations

QuiqueCV

I have several thermometers, both WiFi and Zigbee and of different brands, and in Google Home, in the devices section, I can see the temperature. But if I go to create a routine in the automation section I only see humidity and other irrelevant parameters. As I can't see the temperature, I can't create routines to turn on the air conditioning.

From what I've read on Reddit and other forums it happens to many people. Has anyone been able to solve it? Is it up to Google to fix this bug?

Greetings

Hi @QuiqueCV,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that your thermometers are not displaying the temperature with automations, showing only the humidity. I'd be glad to help you with this.

To provide you with the correct information, I'd like to ask a few questions and then send you some troubleshooting steps:

  • Are all of your thermometer devices experiencing the same problem with the Google Home app?
  • Have you checked if your thermometers are showing the temperature in their respective apps?
  • Have you already attempted any troubleshooting steps? If so, could you please list them?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Gabriela

Yes, all thermometers have the same problem. They correctly display temperature, humidity, etc. in the device properties. Not in the automations.

The thermometers correctly display the temperature in their respective applications.

I have tried to synchronise Google Home and Smart Life again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Google Home but it is still the same.

Hi @QuiqueCV,

Thanks for your reply and the information you provided about your thermometers and the issue you're having with the Google Home and Smart Life apps.

I appreciate you taking the time to perform those troubleshooting steps. At this moment, we don't have enough information about the Zigbee thermometers and their integration with the Smart Life app. For the best assistance, it would be best to contact the manufacturer's support team directly.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Gabriela
