Unable to create custom room

There is no option to creat a custom room or create light groups on the home app. The article is irrelevant because it says to go to options and then select room. That's not an option. There is a rooms and groups options. But once in there there is no option to create a custom room.

Sorry about the frustration you've had with groups and rooms. Let's look at this and get your issue resolved.

You can add custom rooms into the Home app, but the process might be a little different than what you were expecting. Rooms are assigned at the device level. When you are looking at the device settings for a specific device, you'll see that it has a placement setting. If you tap on that, you can select a room from some pre-selected rooms (most common rooms in a home), but if you scroll to the very bottom of the list, you will see an option to add a custom room.
