Hello,
I'm trying to set up a new Google tv and it is asking me to connect via the Google Home app. When I log in to my account, it immediately gives me the "Unexpected response from server on google home app" message. I've tried deleting and reloading the app, deleting and reentering my account, and creating a new email address and logging on with that one. Nothing is working. I'm in Canada and working with iOS. Could you please help?

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let me see what we can do.
To make sure, are you trying to set up a Chromecast with Google TV? Have you tried setting it up using the Voice Remote? If not, give these steps a try:
