Use presence sensing to auto turn on lights at sunset

MioandZola

Hi, attempted to use presence sensing to auto turn on lights at sunset when we were not at home. However the lights came on as soon as we left home despite it being several hours until sunset.
Is it possible to set up so only come on a sunset?

Thanks

Hi everyone,

On Nest displays, you can set alarms to gently wake you up. When a sunrise alarm is set, the screen will gradually brighten until it is time to wake up.

  1. To set an alarm, say "Hey Google, set alarm for 6 AM tomorrow," or swipe up from the bottom of your display and tap Alarms , and then set a time.
  2. Choose whether you want the alarm to repeat and select a tone for the alarm.
  3. Turn on Sunrise alarm.
  4. To customize your alarm, tap Sunrise alarm:
    • With compatible smart lights, you can have the lights in your room brighten during your sunrise.
    • Adjust the sunrise window for a faster or slower paced sunrise.
    • Select a pre-alarm. With a pre-alarm, soft sounds like birds chirping will play in the last minutes prior to the alarm tone.
  5. When finished, tap Done.

Thanks for chiming in, @Jake!

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess
