error -83905

My speaker kept telling me to log into my google home app (even though its been working fine for years). So after several trouble shooting ideas I reluctantly decided to do a factory reset. Now, every time (factory reset twice) I try to connect it to my cell phone app (apple phone) it give me this message "The operation couldn't be completed. (kGSKErrorDomain error -83905". Please advise.

Same error reporting here too. Attempted reinstalling app. Factory reset the nest. Resetting phone, wifi, and nest. Updating phone. Verified phone language settings. Nothing seems to work.

Same problem here!! I'm in Taiwan and I tried to change my region and language to English (US) as most forums advised, but it didn't help at all.

Hey folks,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue, and my apologies for the late response here.

I know how challenging it is not having a working device when needed - let's dig deeper into this. When did the issue start? What specific Google Home/Nest device do you have? Where are you located? Have you tried using a different phone/tablet for set up?

To eliminate network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest devices). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi

So I'm having the exact same issue, and I had my roommate set up a hotspot using his phone while I tried to connect my 2nd gen Nest Mini. However, once prompted to connect the nest mini to the internet, the mobile hot spot was not an option to connect to, and when I selected my usual home wifi network to connect the mini to, I was prompted to disconnect my phone from the mobile hot spot and join my usual network. Upon doing this I was met with the same error code 83905.

Further help would be much appreciated.
