Hello-
I recently bought my mom a Google Nest Pro router so that she would not have to run a cable across her apartment to plug her computer into the ethernet.
I don't know if this is relevant, but she had a gmail address that she used briefly several years ago. I believe it was signed into the Google search app on her iPad. Afaik, this was the only google app on her iPad.
Anyway, she didn't know the password for that account, so we made her a brand new gmail account, just to use with this new router. She downloaded the google home app on her iPad and signed in with the brand new gmail address. She signed out of the Google search app with the old account and signed into that with the brand new account. Then we went to the Google Home App, added the nest router, and went through the steps to set up her Wifi. After scanning the QR code, naming her new SSID and setting a password, the nest tries to initialize the network and returns the error "Caller does not have permission". We can't get passed this error. We have tried several times and have tried starting with each of the routers in the 2-pack, with identical results.
Can someone please tell me what is going wrong?
We tried hooking up an old wi-fi router that we had to the modem, and that one worked just fine... so the problem is definitely on the Google side of things.
Help/Thank you!

Hi @brantt!
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing the 'Caller does not have permission' error during your Nest Wifi Pro router setup. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps.
1. Reassign the Router:
2. Manual Network Settings:
3. Manual Phone Connection:
Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.
