"cast my audio" is gone in groups. In Google Home app.The control panel is gone. I can only use "play music" and it doesn't play my playlist but a random song.

Just to be clear, this is what's missing from speaker groups:

This is the only option to cast to speaker groups now:

Tapping "play music" just plays random music from YouTube Music. I used to be able to cast ANY audio from my device to a speaker group. Now you can only cast to a group if you have an app with the cast option built into it. It's a huge hassle to stop and restart casting to individual speakers every time you go from one area of the house to another.

Yep, I'm having same issue.  Everyone has same issue. A working, valued feature has been removed, to my understanding, by Google as a result of the Sonos patent breach issue.  The entire ecosystem no longer works as advertised and is no longer fit for purpose, as was the case when purchased.  Google has refused to fulfill their obligations to provide this service by licencing technology owned by Sonos, and has chosen to blatantly shaft consumers globally.  I hope the consumer backlash will amend Google's arrogant and money-centric attitude. We have all wasted our investments into the Google ecosystem and in some countries, entitled, by consumer law, to full refunds.

Google ... do better, fulfill your obligations and stop insulting and betraying your loyal customers.  Pay up to Sonos for their technology, that we all have been using for years from Google and we all have already paid for. ..... So cheap Google,... so cheap!

Google, you have smashed your own reputation and trashed your ecosystem... well done!

Still no solution. Still a problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one has any solution on any platform. BECAUSE they don't have a solution. I contacted Google support, they will look into it. They are talking to me like i'm the first that is complaining.

no help from google, because they don't have a solution. Two days ago someone told me about the castapp not from Google. That helps. I still would like it back in the Google Home app, to have everything in 1 app.
