2nd Gen Doorbell: Why remove a feature with a new product

We just installed our 2nd Gen Doorbell, wired. Once we saw video streaming, we realized the wide frame we were used to with the 1st Gen is NOT available with the 2nd Gen doorbell.

Absolutely ridiculous to remove a key feature from a product that customers are used to and rely on. The product team has no idea how many customers have wide porches, and which customers were using the doorbell to not only monitor the front door, but the entire porch. I am one such customer.

Bring back the wide angle.

That's what they have done to everything! Don't buy the floodlight camera. It's awful. It's never available even though it is hard-wired. I literally have mine dangling from the floodlights with another Nest Outdoor camera attached where it should be. The older cameras work so well that they are getting rid of all of them. WTH? They had great products that have worked for over 10 years. The Nest App is far better than the Google Home App. I don't understand how they could screw things up so badly.
