I bought a wired gen 2 nest cam and I'm trying to add it to the google home app. But nothing happens.. qr code or 6 digit code go no where.... I've tried factory reset. Router reset. I tried setting up a new home. I tried adding and deleting other devices then adding the camera.... nothing!!! Anyone have any ideas??

I'm having exactly the same problem with exactly the same device - Gen 2 Wired indoor camera.
I get an error saying move it closer to other nest devices. It's next to a Google mini and another nest camera, and my Pixel 5.
So frustrating.

It's very disappointing I have bought other brands before and never had any issues connecting cameras to their apps. I thought Google would be at least as easy... 2 days of tearing my hair out!!!

Does the goodgle nest cam 2nd generation sync to the nest app or does it only work on the Google home app?

Apparently it only works with thr google home app... but it won't connect to it...

Hello! I am having the same issue and would like assistance. I just purchased it have been trying to set it up. I have numerous Google devices on the Google home app already with no issues. It goes through until the end and then says something went wrong and to factory reset the device (which I did and it didn't fix the issue). Please assist.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Thank Brad... seems this is a dud product. I'm going to bin it and buy a different brand one I know works. Shame I wasted so much money on this. Oh well.

So I got my husband to set up the camera on his phone. He has an iPhone and downloaded the home app... worked perfectly he can access the camera. I am on a samsung galaxy 20 note and the Android app seems to ge the problem..... anyone else have this??

He sent me an invite to his set up and now I can see the camera on my phone!!!!
