2nd Generation Doorbell not working

Kwarriner57

Hello.

I installed a 2nd generation wired nest doorbell tonight and it is blinking yellow.  I removed it from power and it continues to blink yellow, even if I try to reset it.  The kicker is I have a 1st generation doorbell and it works fine. I uninstalled the 2nd generation and reinstalled the 1st generation, which started working again. It doesn’t seem to be a power issue. Any ideas?

Hello Kwarriner57,

I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you, let me help you out. If you’re getting a yellow light on your Nest Doorbell that means it is not getting enough power. Check out this link to learn about the requirement for the 2nd Gen Nest Doorbell.

Let me know if that helps.

Thank you.
Edmond

Hi Edmond. I sent the doorbell back. My power met specs
