Are there any plans for Google Home to support setting a default zoom level as was possible in the Nest app? The lack of this functionality is keeping me from transferring two of my cams into the Home app, as must be able to crop out portions of the frames, and the only way to do that is in the Nest app.
It seems strange that Google would not carry over that valuable feature...please advise, and thanks.

Hi PiperStu,
Thanks for posting here in the community. I understand you're looking for a way to set a default zoom level for your Nest cameras within the Google Home app, similar to the functionality in the Nest app. Help is here!
While the option to crop out parts of the Nest camera's view is not available in the Google Home app, I know how useful this would be for you and how it could improve your experience within the Google ecosystem.
In the meantime, I appreciate you sharing your feedback to continue improving our products and meeting your needs.
Additionally, you can refer to this article for more information about zooming in or out of your camera’s video: Zoom and enhance Nest camera video.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Melany

Thanks for the response...so are you saying this enhancement request is being funneled to the development team for consideration? Not that they haven't considered it, I suppose...it's just sad that really useful pre-existing tech couldn't find its way into Google Home after you acquired Nest.
