Audio Notifications

Does anyone know if audio notifications are available on the nest cam indoor device? I really care about these more than video (which are received as a default) because I am dealing with a dog crying from separation anxiety. 

it is a pain to need to log on remotely every so often just so I can listen to any audio. This camera falls short if I can’t turn an option like this on and be able to react instead of constantly checking in.

Some Nest cameras have a "Dog barking alert" feature, which sends you a notification when it detects a dog barking. To find the best solution, I have some questions for you:

• What is the specific model of your Nest camera device? Please visit the following link for your reference: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells
• Do you use email or push notifications?
• Which app are you using to manage your Nest camera device? is it the Google Home or the Nest app

thanks for responding. I have The google indoor nest security cam, 1080p, 2nd gen and use push, not email notifications. I also use the google home app because this camera does not sync or comply with the nest app (I’ve used the nest app for other cameras, and did receive audio alerts). 

I think I may have run into a wall here, but I’d be thrilled if you had a positive answer to the above info I provided you with.

Thanks for keeping me updated! Your Nest Cam (indoor, wired) runs algorithms to process video and audio. It will trigger smoke and CO audio alerts, but it won't alert you to dog barking.

Dog barking audio notifications are only available for the Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor, Nest Cam IQ Indoor, and Nest Cam IQ Outdoor (1st Gen), all with a Nest Aware subscription.
