Battery Camera not recording any events!

My battery powered nest camera isnt recording any events. It showed me a preview of someone on my driveway last night but when i went to review it didnt record it! And then i noticed it wasnt recording any events! This is really disturbing so need a fix or will replace.

I have been struggling with my wired camera and have entirely reset/reinstalled. The video records but won’t play back. Is this a NEST problem?

Do you have a Nest Aware subscription? If you do not, you can only view event video history for the battery camera for events that occurred in the last 3 hours:

Suspiciously my videos froze after my one month free service expired. My brand new nest doorbell isn’t even playing immediate videos anymore

If you have the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), it runs on battery power even the it is wired, and thus runs in "Idle" mode and needs to "wake up" to detect and record an event.   (Our Google Nest Camera [Battery], which we have plugged in with the optional power cable,  does not do well at detecting and recording events if it's not plugged into power,)   If your 30-day free Nest Aware trial subscription has expired, you SHOULD still be able to view any DETECTED events during the most recent three hours.

Thank you for your help. This has been driving me crazy. But you are right, I needed the nest aware subscription to make it work. Blah. Have a great day
