Can I turn off video recording to save battery life and if so how ? On the new nest battery cam

The battery Nest cams don't support 24/7 recording, so there isn't anything to turn off.  If using the motion events, the battery should last a really long time with regular use from what I've read so I wouldn't worry about that.

The quality of the NEW cameras is terrible. The google home app is absolutely terrible with cameras. The battery life is terrible.
