Hi,
We got a Nest Cam (battery) for the garden a couple of months back and initially it was fine. Shortly after we got the external power supply for it and for the last couple of weeks it has run off that.
However, today when I asked the Google Nest Display to show the camera feed it told us the battery was too low. The camera was running off the mains, but also draining the battery as well. We took it off and put it on charge using the cable and plug in the box and it is charging very slowly, saying it will take 12 hours to charge and telling us to use the proper charger and cable.
So would this suggest the product has a faulty battery?

@Anonymous
I think you might have a faulty battery, faulty camera, or faulty power cable. We've had a Google Nest Camera (Battery) since Sept. 2021, plugged in at all times with the optional 10-meter power cable. The camera is always "Live" and if I turn off the power for the camera (it's on a switched circuit outside) to check the battery level, it's always between 87% and 100%. This was true during cold weather down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit this winter.
