Just noticed that the feed on my outdoor cam is in black and white during the daytime.

If you go to Settings | Video, is Night Vision set to "Always on"? If so, set it to "Auto (default)".   If not, you could try turning it "Off" and then back to "Auto (default)".

So I looked at the setting & they are set to AUTO...now my other outdoor camera with lights is doing the same thing.  So I turned it to off & then back to AUTO & I watched it on my PC as I did it & it did change back to color.  Do we know what is the cause of this?  It has happened several times recently.

We've had to toggle a couple of our cameras from "Off" back to "Auto" for Night Vision a couple of times over the years.  I don't know why Night Vision sometimes seems to get stuck on "Always on" for no reason.

Hi osiris1029,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry your outdoor camera’s feed is in black and white during the daytime. I’m here to help! Thanks for trying some steps to get them back to color. To gather some more details, I’d like to ask the following questions:

  1. How many cameras do you have?
  2. What are your camera models? Here’s a link for your reference: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells
  3. Have you noticed all your video history is in black and white?

Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan

I have three outdoor models Nest Cam with floodlight (wired), even though I toggle them from Auto to off & back to Auto after a few days it reverts back to black & white.  No not all video is black & white, only until I toggle it back & forth.
