I recently saw another post with almost the exact same issue as ours and it wasn't resolved. (I copied some of the language from this post because it was well written and really mirrors our situation)
So, our problem occurs when viewing the Nest camera from ANY of our nest Hubs. Our house as multiple google products, doorbells/nest/etc. The one issue we have is our wired indoor camera that we use as a nursery camera.
Just like the post I saw another person make, we use the live feed throughout the day via different hubs around the house.
We leave our bedroom hub streaming until the morning each night so that we are able to view and hear our baby. We did this for around 7 months with no issues (Jan to July?)! However, over the past few months we have woken with the nest hub screen black and the issue is getting worse (happening more frequently and for longer periods). The camera is working fine, I can pull up the feed on my phone whenever and there is no issue. All products are less than a year old.
The nest hub states that it is currently streaming the camera feed and is "live", but is only showing a black screen with no audio or scratchy audio.
I know the WiFi is not an issue, it works well on everything else. I can use the hubs to do any other task fine. We also have multiple extenders throughout the house and no other device suffers from low signal or slow Internet connection.
When requesting to view said camera, it loads up fine and very quickly. But will change to black screen any number of minutes/hours later on any of our hubs that otherwise work perfectly.
We really need help fixing this issue so we can hear if our son is crying and get a good nights sleep again because it has been going black at night.

Very frustrated having the same problem as well. @Princesss this is starting to feel like a class action lawsuit for all of us who wasted $100+ on this

Yes, I have 5 hubs all pretty much useless. Just expensive alarm clocks!
Was using the hubs for myself and nursing staff to monitor a disabled family member, and for home security. Relying now on an assortment of cheap tablets, iPads and my android phone.

I am also having this issue, and we use it as a baby monitor so it is beyond inconvenient. It’s scary. When will this be fixed?!?!

We bought two of these not inexpensive monitors and they are useless!

Any updates?

Just wanted to add my name to the list. I have been having this issue for a long time, and have been factory resetting my hub every other day or keeping a feed open on my computer in order to use it as a baby monitor.

Same issue on my Google Nest hub (2nd gen.)
What I think the problem is authentication. That's why streams aren't starting and are waiting for an authentication handshake. Google should be able to fix it. If they open the gate, it will start to work with all doorbell cameras. That's where Google is having problems; They don't want people to go buy any other doorbell brand; and Google's monthly subscription will suffer. Here is my advice to Google....Listen to your user, Don't be Yellow Cab, taken over by UBER, LYFT. The clock is TICKING!!!

We are experiencing the exact same issue. Brand new wired indoor nest cams (3 of them) will only show a black screen when viewed on a Nest Hub (4 of them), but works fine on the "Home" android app on my Pixel 6 and Pixel 8. I'm very frustrated that we've invested $1000's of dollars in Google products to not have them WORK TOGETHER!?! Its also frustrating that Google has still not addressed then since this thread was started almost 4 months ago. Hello? Can anyone from Google please provide an update on this? Many people have reported this issue. Can you please let us know if Google recognizes the issue, and is working on some solution?

Same issue here, I’m sure there is a long list of people not commenting that are having this issue also. No response from google is disappointing. Do better google.

@Princesss is there any update on this please, our hub is redundant currently.

Maybe we need to spam their twitter or something.

Just wanted to add my name to the list of users experiencing this issue. I can confirm that the workaround of having the cam streaming to a phone or another hub resolves the issue - this is obviously not idea though.

I am getting exactly the same

Stunning this isn't fixed yet. Sure wish the ADT installer would have mentioned to expect this problem. Worked great for several days...and now I'm having the same issue everyone is on this link. I have found if I use my iPhone Home Control App...stream the camera I want to see on the video hub...and then select it on the video hub...camera streams just fine to the video hub. Turn off the iPhone/close the app...gone from the video hub. I only have the video hub to stream cameras, could care less about all the other features of this thing...so perhaps I should call ADT out and make them take these things back?

Having this same issue factory resetting the camera and and hub / hub max does not work. Opening the app and the opening the camera on the hub works but that's not a solution.
I can see this is quite of a poor and unacceptable customer service from Google.

Same issue here... Google are you going to sweep this issue under the carpet? If so might have to reconsider my goggle nest subscription service

Same issue here. I thought it was the internet speeds causing issues with streaming on the nest hub. Come on Google give us a fix already!!

I’m having the same Issues! It was all working fine until I added another nest Hub max in our bedroom. I also have a nest hub max on the main floor. It started flickering to a black screen every minute. Sometimes it will work for an hour or two but it will go back to a black screen. So everytime it happens, I will unplug then plug it back in to make the stream visible again. It’s very frustrating when my baby will be crying and I’m not able to see or hear because the stream is stuck to a black screen. Let me know if there’s a better way to resolve this than unplug and plugging it back in?

Please take a look at my reply from 12-20-2023. It should work with your 2 displays too.
Far away from a good solution but better than a child crying and having no stream available 😉
Hope it works for you

If you use the Google Home app on any other device (android or Apple phone, tablet) it will keep the camera stream active.

Another frustrated user with exactly the same problem. I find my Nest Hub Max is WAY worse than my little home hubs, but all of them do it, and every time when I load it up on my phone instead, it is working perfectly. Come on google, sort this out.

Update after some time:
Smarthome has been completely removed from all hubs. I now have 4x electronic scrap Engineered for /by Google. The problems with Smarthome devices from Nest are increasing, as you can read in some forums. Especially Door bell and Nest Cams.
Response from Google/Nest: Not available.
New major Fuchsia update for the Hubs: No change.
Announcement of new Pixel 8a at a bold price: YES 🤑
Since the Nexus phones, I've been exclusively with Google. But when someone becomes unreliable, you should question the need.
It's pathetic what has been delivered here for months.
A little tip, since Google likes to remove useless legacy content: Delete this forum

Hello Team,
I hit a breaking point tonight and spent over an hour on the phone with support. I have no news and no resolution, but I got all of comments in front of a few eyes, hopefully. I sent the link of this string in the emails of several of my replies to their requests for photos and video of our issue. If you’re bored over the weekend and have time, it might be time for us to pile on.
