Broken ribbon cable

Hey, 

Got the new nest hello battery and installed it and all was good, one day it stopped working so decided to take it off the wall and try it with a type c power cable to see if that would work.

But when trying to remove the nest hello the front faceplate came off instead of the entire unit. This caused the ribbon cable connecting the button to be severed. Is there any way to buy a new ribbon cable?

No parts are sold individually. I've seen people list broken devices on eBay for parts otherwise you would need to purchase another device.

I'm not a fan of the policy of no replacement parts to guide people to buy new devices.
