Camera Connect

So what a nightmare this has been. I got a new Wi-Fi router. I used same name and password hoping all devices would connect, and it didn't work. Needless to say changing the wifi for the Google devices has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've had to factory reset multiple devices. I'm stuck right now on my Google camera indoor wired camera. It's asking me to take a pic of the QR code but there's not one anywhere on the device. There's no option to type in any numbers from on the device into the app to force a connection. I asked Gemini when insisted there should be a manual type in by hand option but I haven't been able to make it appear. Someone here know what I need to do? I think this entire experience may be the thing that gets me off Google as a platform for these types of devices. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this exact same problem (I'm in the UK). The solution was to separate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi bands.

I have a Nest Hello, 2 x Nest wired outdoor and the the new outdoor 2nd gen. None of them would connect until I separated the bands. I just made sure the 2.4ghz band had the original ssid and password and just added 5ghz on the end of the ssid for the 5ghz band. The cameras all connected straight away after that.
Hope that helps.

The QR code on the 2nd gen Google Nest Indoor Camera is on a sticker that was on the face of the camera; Google Nest's instructions suggest that you remove the sticker and place it in the Quick Start Guide, and if you have lost the QR code, selecting "Continue without scanning" to use the 6-character Setup Code on the base of the camera. See the "Install Nest Cam [wired] video" link here https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10931419, starting at about 0:57, for instructions, including how to open up the base of the camera to find the Setup Code.

I'm not getting the option to continue without scanning. All that's popping up at the bottom is to "add a different way". When I click that, it brings me to a list of device brands which don't include Nest or Google products. I tried scrolling to below the "add a different way" thinking maybe the type in option was below it but the screen won't scroll. I tried resisting my text to see if it was somehow hidden below it an it was a UI bug and forcing the text smaller would make it appear, and no, that didn't work either. I tried keeping the camera screen on, the one that's trying to scan a QR code hoping that it would "time out" and force me to the add by typing it in screen. No such luck. Using a piece of paper you have to save for a product to make it connect to your system is an awful system. My Wyze cams from 5 years ago didn't use tech like this and are much more sophisticated and don't rely on my saving a scrap of paper and cost significantly less than the Google products. Their team either needs to come up with a better system than stickers or make sure the UI works.

When you select the "Add" button under "Home settings", and then select "Device", have you tried using the "Search for device" option and then followed the prompts?  If it can't find your camera, it comes up with a list of Google Nest products to select from, and then continues from there.

When I checked just now, the process is different from when I installed our latest camera several years ago, and their online instructions don't seem to match how the UI install process now works.
