Camera alerts to Nest Hub Max

I have a Nest Doorbell (battery) and I would like to send camera notifications (person seen and package seen) to my Nest Hub Max. Right now it only displays video when someone rings the doorbell.

Thanks for visiting the Community. My apologies for the late response here. Let's check this out. 

 

Try the steps here:

  1. Open the Home app;
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. In the top right, tap Setting > Doorbell.
  4. Turn Visitor announcements on or off.

Hi JT,

That setting is already enabled for me and it only sends an alert to my Nest Hub Max when someone rings the doorbell.

I currently get "Person Seen" and "Package Seen" notifications to my phone, but I'd like to get them to my Nest Hub Max as well and haven't been able to figure it out.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

 

Got it, thanks for sharing that with us. Try to factory reset your Nest Hub Max.

 

Here's how:

 

  • At the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds.
  • Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.
  • Remove it from your Google Home app.
  • Re-add it to your Google Home app.

Hi JT,

Have you actually successfully set up a Nest Hub Max to display "Package Seen" notifications from the Nest Doorbell? I don't want to do a factory reset until I've confirmed from someone that it's even possible.
