If you turn off notifications for "Sounds" for your Google Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app, you should NOT get notifications for sound events. However, when you view events for your doorbell, you will still see "Sound" events (because they still get flagged as such) unless you filter them out; see the instructions about setting a filter under "Event history" in this Help topic.

We see MANY "Sound" events for our Google Nest Hello Doorbells in their event history if we don't filter them, but do NOT get any notifications at all for "Sound" events because we have them turned off.
