Camera keeps going offline

Has anyone had problems with thier Nest camera outdoor going offline randomly and frequently. One of my nest camera keeps going offline. I keep having to go and disconnect the power wire from it and then connecting it back. Its works well for a few hoursn then it goes offline again. It keeps recording during its offline status. I can't access the camera and footage untill I unplug and replug it. All my other 5 cameras are not having the same issue.  Does anyone know how to resolve this issue.

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Are you getting any error messages in the app?
  • Did you set up the camera through the Google Home app or the Nest app?
  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

  • Internet connection: Ensure your internet connection is stable and strong. Try moving your Nest Cam (outdoor) closer to your router.
  • Power: Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into both the camera and the power outlet. Try a different outlet if possible.

My Google nest doorbell camera went off line last night. Internet was not having any issues and this morning back online. However today the doorbell doesn’t ring and there are no activities. If you put the camera on live it shows things but not recording or alerting us. All of our notifications are on. Help.

I'd like to ask the following:

  • What specific model of Nest doorbell do you have?
  • Have you made any recent changes to your Wi-Fi network or password?
  • What is the status LED light on your doorbell?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the doorbell?
  • Has there been any recent power outage in the area?

Once I have these details, I can assist you better with the specific information.

It's been doing it for a while now.
