Camera wont factory reset and isn’t showing up in old home acct

I have 3 wired indoor cameras. I added them to the wrong home account. I am trying to add them to the correct home account but they aren’t showing up in the nest app or google home for me to remove them and the factory reset button dos not reset them. Your instructions say press the reset button for 10 seconds then the light will blink yellow. Then at 12 seconds it will reset. It doesn’t do any of that even after 30 seconds. When I try to add it to my new home account it says its already linked to another account but there is no way for me to remove it from my other account.

@Dagnyr

Sometimes it takes several tries before you get a successful factory reset.

How you perform a factory reset depends on which camera you have:

Hi @Dagnyr,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're having trouble with your Nest Cameras after adding them to the wrong home account, and that you're experiencing difficulties trying to perform a factory reset since the light is not blinking yellow after 10 seconds as indicated in the steps. I'm happy to assist you.

To better understand the reason for the issue, please follow the instructions below and provide the information requested:

  • Have you checked the Nest app to see if you have any other homes set up in your account where the cameras might have been added?
    • To switch between homes in the Nest app, at the top left, tap Menu > tap the home you want to switch to (if you have more than 1 home).
  • Are all your Nest Cameras the same model?
  • When resetting the cameras, please confirm you performed a factory reset and not a restart, depending on the model of your cameras as indicated in the article Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

@MplsCustomer, thank you for the helpful information you provided.

Please keep me posted.

Regards,

Anders
