My subscription is they keep live feed for 7 days. Why don’t these ?

@BenGooged

Maybe you have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, which apply only to 1st gen cameras and doorbells, are priced per camera, and provide 5, 10, or 30 days of 24/7 video history.

The newer 2nd gen "Nest Aware" and "Nest Aware Plus" subscriptions, which have been available since 2019, apply to all Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

It seems that if you cancel a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription and then get a 2nd gen subscription, you get a pro-rated refund on your remaining 1st gen subscription.

I think you can check 1st gen subscriptions here:

https://store.nest.com/account/subscriptions

We check our 2nd gen subscription here:

https://store.google.com/subscriptions

This is what you get with each subscription:

You can purchase a 2nd gen subscription here:

Regarding the the "unavailable", you maybe running out of uplink bandwidth.

While the Nest App allows you to set the cameras to low BW/Image Quality, the Google Home App does not and the 2nd Gen Nest Camera is only supported by the Google Home app.   The Google Home app only allows you to set image quality to High or Max which is 700Kbps or 1Mbps or higher depending on if there are events going on.   Apparently the BW scales up to capture events of interest which may sink your Internet connection intermittently.

And in case you are wondering, Google's response to this is "Sorry buddy, SOL".

Hi @BenGooged,

The error message"The video isn't available". this can happen when your camera is having trouble connecting to the Google Nest servers.

Usually we only need to wait for a couple of hours and after that the camera will be showing you the video.

Also, respecting your 1st generation subscriptions we'll need to cancel those subscriptions even if the Dropcams are not being supported, since the 1st generation subscriptions can't be moved to another cameras and the 2nd generation cameras are not able to use the 1st gen subscriptions.

Please fill out our contact us form and like this you'll be contacted directly.

Best,

Brandon.
