Cameras stopped working after plugged in

I installed 8 nest cameras that were running on battery for about a month. I already had bnc and power cable ran through the house from the swan cameras they are replacing. So I purchased some 2.1mm to USB adapters so I could plug the cameras in, and then on the other end another adapter to USB going to the USB power block that came with the cameras. Plugged all the cameras in and everything seemed to be working. In the home app the battery life percentage disappeared and the video stays on live as it should. Less than 12 hours and all 8 cameras are off and stating they are dead battery in the app. What could cause this?

The connection is the magnet charge cable at the camera to a USB to 2.1mm adapter plugged into a 2.1mm power cable. The cables run through the house (attic) about 60 ft, to another 2.1mm to USB adapter, plugged into the charging blocks that came with the camera.

I have no idea whether the adapters you're using will work or not. But do you have the magnetic charge cords that came with the cameras plugged in so the cords feed towards the FRONT of the cameras? It seems goofy, but that's how the cords need to be connected.

We have a Google Nest Camera (Battery) plugged in all the time with the optional power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera. In the Google Home app, the camera shows as "Live" all the time and if we check Settings | Battery it shows as "Plugged in". If we unplug the camera, it shows as "Idle" and shows the battery percentage on the initial screen.
