Can I force a google nest outdoor camera to work only on 2.4 ghz or only on 5ghz network?

I haven't seen any ajustment in the Google home system to allow you to. Can you adjust your wifi to select the bandwith to which it operates?

I was told to make my modem operate on 2.4 only by google support. Didn't make any difference

One thing to note is the country as some regions don’t even have a 5 ghz option.
US: Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
Europe and Canada: Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz

Hey everyone,
Thanks for posting here in the community. All Nest Cameras will only show you all the available WiFi networks in your home during the set-up process, so if your main router has two separate bandwidths (2.4 and 5.0 GHz), you need to select which network you want to connect to, and it will stay connected to that network unless there are changes in your network settings.
But if your router has only one network, which means it is a simultaneous dual-band router, you need to contact your Internet Service provider and separate the two networks.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks,
Edmond
