Is there a way to ring my own doorbell from the nest app? I have a wired nest doorbell that works fine. I have several Google nest hubs and an android phone (Google Pixel 6). I'd like to ring my own doorbell to help train my dog to not go crazy when the doorbell rings, but I can't be outside pushing the button to do this. Can it be done through the nest app or nest hub?

There is no ability to do that. (We've had Google Nest doorbells for 4 years.)

Sounds like it can't be done through the app. I'm wondering if I could do a hack and attach a second push button to the wiring for the interior chime. I'm not sure if that will behave exactly like an actual exterior button press and cause a notification on my phone and the nest hubs or if it will only activate the interior chime. I'm guessing it would only activate the chime.

Hi mcshaftmaster,
Thanks for reaching out to our Community. I wanted to follow up with you and make sure you got the answer you were looking for.
Your guess was right. If you add a regular push button to your Nest doorbell, it can ring your indoor chime, but you won’t get notifications on your Nest app or Nest Hub.
If you need help with the Nest doorbell wiring, you may contact a Nest Pro to help you set up the doorbell. In the US, you can contact our installation partner, OnTech, to help you set up the Nest doorbell. For all other countries, you can book an appointment with a Nest Pro. You can check out this handy guide for information on Google Nest professional installation services.
