Can’t add doorbell 2nd generation wired to nest app

The doorbell has added to google home. When i  try to add the doorbell to the nest app, i scan qr code, it accepts it then directs me to do the setup on google home. I click the button to get to google home and that’s where I am stuck. It doesn’t pass anything back to nest. I can’t see how. If I go back to nest, the doorbell is not there and it again directs me to go to google home. This is frustrating

The newer Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021, which get installed in the Google Home app, cannot be installed in, do not work, in and cannot be accessed from the Google Nest app.

This is pretty bad that google promotes its nest products with no nest app compatibility. Very disappointing
