Hello,
I just bought a Nest Hello Doorbell (First generation, wired).
For some reason I can't disable package detection.
I made non overlapping activity zones. But I can't disable package detection in any of the zones. It lets me disable it under notification settings but as soon as I leave the notification settings it switches on again.
I tried removing all the activity zones, but even then the package detection automatically switches on after I disabled them in the notification settings.
I can disable "people" and "all other motion without a problem", but packages wont stay off.
Extra information
- Home/Away assist is off
- Schedule is off

That is odd.
Have you tried deleting and reinstalling your Google Nest app? (You don't lose any settings; just log back on with the same username and password you were previously using.) By the way, there's an update to the Google Nest app; we just got it this morning.
Have you tried restarting your Nest Hello Doorbell by turning off the circuit breaker that includes your doorbell for a minute or so?

I just removed the Nest App and the Home app and reinstalled both.
I still have the same problem. I cannot disable packages. I live in the Netherlands and packages are not left at the door here.
I also noticed another problem today. I disabled people, all other motion and sound for all activity zones. But I had 155 events in 2 hours today. I checked the events, but the title of the events mention person, motion and sound.
It seems that the settings don't do anything, or at least do not disable anything.
I have a nest aware subscription.
My previous doorbell was a nest doorbell battery (2nd generation). This 2nd generation doorbell functioned as expected with activity zones. I removed this doorbell from the Home App. Could that have anything to do with my problems?
