Can't turn on notifications for Nest Outdoor Camera

I am not able to turn on any zone "seen event" notifications for my Nest Cam (Battery) camera.   I have created an activity zone but when I select it for setup under the "Seen Events" screen, there is no way to choose any events for notification.  The screen says "Choose which events you want to be notified about in t his zone"  but there is nothing to choose.  The only thing I can do is change the zone name, change the zone color, and delete the zone.  I have no problem seeing the live video but I can't get notified of any activity.

Thanks much for the info.  I finally figured it out.  I didn't have the video history turned in the video settings.  Doh!   I switched it on and the sliders appeared.  Newby mistake.

That's strange. We have IOS devices, but in the Google Home App for our one new Google Nest Cam (Battery), under Seen Events, under the zone, under "Event history in this zone", it says, "Choose which events should appear in this home's history, and whether you'll receive notifications on your devices." we have slider switches for People, Animals, Vehicles, and Motion, and additional slider switches to turn on notifications if we turn on those events. (On our iPad, we have to scroll down to see any of the options.) I don't think it should make a difference, but our camera is plugged into power all the time with the optional power cable and we have a Nest Aware Plus subscription.
