Changing WiFi Network for Nest Cam Floodlight

I need to change the WiFi network for my Nest Cam Floodlight as my access point had to be replaced and the camera needs to be re-joined to the new wireless network.

When I go into the Google Home app and try to use the "Set Up Device" option, it doesn't see the camera when the app goes into device discovery mode with Bluetooth.  How can I get the Nest Cam to go into set up mode so the Google Home app can see it and allow me to reset the wireless network?

With my other Nest cameras, it was very easy as you just go into the Nest App and tell it to update the wireless network information.

Thanks

I just called Google about this and had a very bad conversation with the agent, I was very frustrated they would not admit how bad this is. So, long story short, you need to climb on a ladder, unmount your camera, press the reset button and do the whole setup again. In my case, I need to do that in the ice and cold of Minnesota. After you reset your camera, you will have to line up your camera, setup your zone and notifications all over again. NICE JOB, Google!

I came to that conclusion too when I couldn't get the WiFI changed.  Like you, I had to haul out my tall ladder to get access to the floodlight.  I had to first remove the floodlight from the Home app and once that was done, then go up to the floodlight and press the reset key on top of the camera unit and hold it down until the unit chimed and went into the factory reset process.  Once that was done, then the Home app can be used to add the new device back and you can reset the WiFi up again.

This is not a very friendly process as you've said.  I'm all for Google helping to make this easier.  It should be able to talk to the camera through a bluetooth connection to reprogram the WiFi information or to re-add the unit after it's been removed from the Home app.  Having to push and hold the physical reset button was a real pain.

Brad, unless your development team is putting together a firmware update for this issue that will be released shortly or you are lying to all users and you can remotely access this device to change the WiFi settings while it is connected to a network, your apologies do not mean anything to me.
I believe this product is fairly new so it is just a matter of time you will be FLOODED (Pun not intended) by calls, emails, bad reviews and others regarding this matter.
Like I mentioned above, this is no small matter. You install this product on the wall of your house, most people hire someone to do that (not me, fortunately) but there should be a basic set of control of this camera to be able to change how you access it that does not require climbing on a ladder in the middle of the Winter in MN to fix it (Along with all detailed in the msg above where you start the whole setup process from ZERO).
