Chime and voltage not compatible

mhodalo

Our electrician told us that our chime and voltage are not compatible with the nest doorbell so we've been using it on battery only and when someone rings the doorbell we only get a notification on our phones, the doorbell does not ring. We would like to change the chime and transformer but it seems as we have to get them separately. Is there any one that has both the compatible chime and a transformer in one device? If not, which chime and transformer do we need to get to get this working so it's hardwired?

@mhodalo

 This page has transformer requirements for Google Nest doorbells:

Thank you. I saw that but I'm looking for a link to an actual chime and transformer that will work, not just the requirements but the actual devices like on Amazon or Home Depot, etc.

Hi folks,

@mhodalo thanks for posting here in the community. I know how important it is to have a chime working compatibly with your Nest doorbell. To confirm, when you say that your Nest doorbell does not ring, do you mean that there's no sound coming out from the actual Nest doorbell or are you referring to your indoor chime that doesn't ring when someone's ring the bell? Also we don't have a specific indoor chime and transformer that we can recommend you to buy, but as long as they have the required voltage and power then they should be compatible. You may refer to the link above for your reference. If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to let me know.

I appreciate the help @MplsCustomer.

Thanks,
Emerson
