Chime connector for 2nd generation wired door bell

We bought a Google Nest Doorbell from Amazon (warehouse) and didn't realize until after our return window when we were installing it that the chime connector was missing!! So frustrating to go through installing a new indoor chime, running wires, upgrading the transformer and running power and wires to it-----all just to find out it can't even work without this chime connector puck (and it wasn't in the box!!). I contacted Google first and they said they only have it for the 1st generation. Why wouldn't they provide a simple replacement part for their *newer* product?!

Has anyone been able to use it or find a work around ?? I don't think it should be on Amazon to have to accept the return past the return window. Google should provide support and replacement parts for their products.

Hello, I'm an end user like you.  I have been fighting this battle for YEARs and Google just refuses to sell parts for any of the nest camera products.  It is super frustrating.

I am going to try and escalate this for you and let see if they do the right thing and help you out by sending you another chime adapter.

Good luck and let me know what happens...

PS: Yes, you need the chime adapter if you want the doorbell chime in the house to work properly.

Hi there greenkarma,

Thanks for reaching out to our community, and thanks to EmptyNester for chiming in.

Sometimes things can get a little complicated, especially in this case since you never had the chime connector to begin with. But don't worry, please fill out this form. We'll gather some more information and see what the best course of action would be.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.
