Chime connector replacement

My chime connector appears to no longer be working as the bell has stopped chiming. How do I get a replacement?  Also have an upstairs doorbell and not sure if I need 2 vs 1.

If your Google Nest Hello Doorbell is one or two years old or older, you might want to look at this very long thread on Nest Hello Doorbells where the internal battery fails, causing the internal chime to not ring and the camera to go offline for a minute when the doorbell button is pressed.

Google Nest has not addressed what, if anything, it is going to do about this failure reported by many customers. Customers report that when they contact support, they are told they are out of luck if their doorbell is more than 1 year old.

If you have a second doorbell, you need a separate Chime Connector for that doorbell. The Chime Connector provides continuous power for the doorbell's camera without tripping your chime.

If your Chime Connector has failed, it seems Google Nest has no way of providing replacement parts except when the device is still under warranty,

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about that. Let's check on this further. When and where did you purchase your Nest Doorbell (wired)? Is your 2nd doorbell working?

I would recommend checking this article when your Nest doorbell chime doesn't ring or sounds weak for detailed steps or contact our Google Support team for warranty options.

Regards,

Steve

So have 1 doorbell with chimes up and downstairs. Only have 1 google chime and not even sure is working as pressing doorbell gives a very weak chime downstairs and more of a electrical buzzing sound and nothing upstairs.  All I have is a red and black wire in each that I assume goes to the transformer in an unknown location.

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. Your setup should look like this:

You can check which chime is faulty by using a multimeter to test if it's getting power.
